Aurelia ranch
Aurelia ranch is located at the center of he Negev plateau
, 5 Km. south of Sede-Boker College
In a breathtaking hilly dessert scenery.
The ranch is named after Aurelia - a priestess of Aphrodite,
the love goddess, - who is buried at the ancient city of Avdat,
(5Km. from the ranch),
and who represents female wisdom and power.
Avdat – one of the ancient Nabatean cities in the Negev,
came into being following the widespread trade
in merchandise and perfumes (Myrrh and Frankincense)
witch were transferred during ancient times from Yemen to Gaza
along the "Perfume routes".
Do to a comfortable dry climate, it is pleasant to spend
Summer evenings under the star lit night and feel the
Dessert wind blowing.
In winter its nice to cuddle up in the heated cabins
and enjoy hot herbal tea.
